The object of the work was the territorial transport system of the Sosnovoborskiy Urban District of the Leningrad Region.
The aim of the research was to develop and substantiate the proposals on the development of the transport frame of the municipal district, taking into account the directions and targets of the developed Master Plan of the municipal entity Sosnovoborsky urban district of the Leningrad region.
Objectives of the work:
  1. Collection of initial data.
  2. Analysis of initial data obtained in the field of transport infrastructure and data on transport, passenger and pedestrian flows.
  3. Forecast of transport demand.
  4. Development of proposals and design options for the city transport infrastructure development on the basis of the development strategy adopted in the project.
  5. Analysis of efficiency of proposed transport infrastructure development measures.
  6. Evaluation of the volume and sources of financing of the proposed activities.
Methodological basis of the project

To assess the current state and prospects of development of the territorial transport system of the MD Sosnovoborsky urban district of the Leningrad region, a set of domestic and foreign methods were used, which corresponded to the scale of the design territory and the tasks of its development at the present stage. The territorial transport system of the city was considered as a service element of the city and, at the same time, as an element forming its future appearance. Methodological approaches took into account changes in the socio-economic situation of the city population and the position of the city in the regional system of division of labor, which occurred in recent years, the emergence of a new system of land use, the division of government into federal, regional and municipal. A geoinformational approach was used to analyze the territory and transport network of the city.
