Transport service concept for the Klyukvenny microdistrict in Novosibirsk

This project developed the transport service concept to the Klyukvenny district and surrounding areas. The current state of transport infrastructure is analyzed. Prospective transport demand is calculated, a list of measures within the boundaries of the zone of influence in terms of the development of the street and road network, urban transport, pedestrian and bicycle ways of communication is developed.
Different variants of connections to the external street and road network have been considered and the main nodes of these connections have been identified. The scheme of development of the intra-district street and road network has been developed. The basis of its concept is the formation of a sustainable transport service area, as well as reducing the transit of external traffic through the built-up residential areas of the city. Calculation of the required number of plots for parking spaces. Calculated and proposed locations of the required number of gas stations and car service stations.
In terms of public passenger transport, a critical project is the project of the city's railroad, which involves the construction of a platform "Klyukvenny" and the organization on the basis of the platform full-fledged transport hub. In addition, the project proposes the construction of a streetcar line and the organization of bus traffic, the placement of bus stops.
The project proposes a scheme of infrastructure solutions for non-motorized movements, both external and internal. These solutions are taken into account in the proposed street cross sections.
On the basis of the list of activities a road map for the main stages of the development of the neighborhood, which also contains proposals for amendments to the documents of territorial and transport planning and assessment of the necessary funding.
